Every story the feeds carry, pooled and archived daily, scored against a lexicon you can read word by word, and then modelled: arrivals as a self-exciting process, attention as exponential decay, coverage as an entropy, and the mood as a changepoint problem. It describes the coverage. It does not diagnose anybody.
The lexicon
Every word the index uses, with its weight. Score a headline of your own:
What this is not. It counts stories and scores the language of
headlines against a published list. It makes no claim about any individual's state of mind, and no number here enters a
match price until a backtest says it should. That backtest needs a season of archive, and the archive is new.
