Beat the model, if you can
Seven games. In every one the opponent is a fitted model and the scoreboard shows what the maths would have done. Nothing is hidden: the equations are on the table beside the ball. The Manager's opponent learns how you play.
The Manager
Pick a real team and a real opponent. Choose to press, hold or sit deep, minute by minute, against fitted scoring rates. Then see the optimal policy you were playing against.
Penalty Duel
Ten kicks against a keeper who studies your pattern. Game theory says mix 38% natural side and never in a pattern. Your record says otherwise.
Break Point
Serve a set as a real player with eight big serves to spend. Morris importance says which points matter. Spend them there, or waste them at 40–0.
Split Second
Set your effort for each 200 m of an 800 m and race Keller's optimal runner. The anaerobic store drains live. Go too early and the last bend is very long.
Last Shot
Down two with eight seconds. Drive for the tie or shoot the three? Foul up three or defend? Four endgames, each a decision tree with the odds on every branch.
The Taper
Eight weeks out from the final. Set each week's load. Fitness decays slowly, fatigue quickly, and the race-day number tells you whether you peaked or just rested.
Beat the Model
This week's real fixtures across thirteen leagues. Call each one before you see the price, then let the final whistle score you both by the Brier rule. A season-long duel, kept on your device.
